LINEART & COLOURED

This style’s main feature is the use of Lineart - conveying details through lines. The pieces are usually painted with high contrast - coloured with bright light sources and dark shadows off of the items within the piece.

The main features of this style are the paintings of prominent shadows, a stylised way of rendering, as well as contrasting yet complimentary kinds of colour schemes.

This style’s main feature is capturing the ambience of a scene by using a stylised semi-realistic rendering style for the shadows and highlights.

TERMS, CONDITIONS and RIGHTS FOR MIENAR’S COMMISSIONS

Upon commissioning me, Miena, also known as mienar, you hereby agree to the terms laid out below:

1. These commissions are for PRIVATE/PERSONAL USE only, strictly NOT for commercial purposes.

   (If you wish to commission for Commercial Use/Purposes, please send me an e-mail of that subject here.)

2. I, as the artist, will retain the copyright of the commissioned pieces;

3. As I maintain all the rights to the commissioned artworks, and you, as the client, may only post if credit is given back to my blog/Instagram.

4. You may NOT claim the commissioned artworks as YOUR OWN.

5. You cannot cancel the commission(s) after you have paid me, I do not give full refunds, unless I am not able to start on the piece for any unforeseeable reason.

6. If you are not satisfied with the piece in the end, I will not do any re-do’s nor will I give a refund. However, to prevent this, throughout the commission work, you may ask for progress shots at whichever stage of the process, and you will be given opportunities to ask for modifications/adjustments/additions/etc.

7. If I am not able to fully complete your commission due to unforeseeable circumstances while we’re still in the middle of the process, you will get the choice of either getting the files of the work that I have done as much as I could + remaining refund, or a full refund but no files to be given.

8. I will not start the commission until you have paid me either the full price or half price. If you decide to pay half first, I will only work as much as the half price is worth, and will only continue until I am paid the remaining half.

9. Payments will only be done through Paypal invoices.

10. Modifications requests in non-editable stages of the commission or large/major modifications may incur additional charges upon the client, based on the amount of modifications/additions requested to be made.

HOW WILL THE COMMISSION PROCESS BE LIKE?

The commission process will be an active, back-and-forth and open-communication process between you (as the client) and myself! I will consistently update you at every stage (shown in the list below) and I am always open to your feedback in what I can do to draw/paint your idea more accurately!

A typical commission may take a minimum of 4 weeks to finish. Though, I will inform you the exact timing that is needed to finish after discussing commission details and ideas with you. If you have a specific deadline, do let me know in your email! However, I may not accept commission requests with expected deadlines that are less than 4 weeks from the day you email me with your commission request. (For example, if you’d like a commissioned artwork for a birthday present, please contact me 4 weeks or more prior to the day you want to gift it.)

The following are all the main stages of the commission process:

(1) ROUGH SKETCHING

(2) LINEART

(3) COLOUR PALETTE SELECTION

(4) PAINTING

(5) ANIMATION

Revisions/requests for modifications to your commissioned pieces will only be offered at (1) Rough Sketching, (2) Lineart, and (3) Colour Palette Selection. I will also re-confirm/discuss animation ideas around the same time as (3) Colour Palette Selection.

EXAMPLES OF MODIFICATIONS ALLOWED:

Rough Sketching: Adding objects, changing perspective, modifying/changing items, add characters, mention important details, etc.

Lineart: Adding/modifying/adjusting items, item placements, etc.

Colour Palette Selection: Requesting your own colour palettes, testing different colours.

[!] Once a previous stage has passed, you cannot request for another modification.

e.g.: If we’re in the (3) Colour Palette stage, you cannot ask to go back and modify/re-do the (1) Rough Sketching stage.

If you insist on having the modifications done, additional charges will incur depending on how much modifying is to be done.
